The following new retail establishments will be located in the Candelas Point commercial development located on the northeast corner of Highway 72 and Candelas Parkway.

Bluegrass Coffee & Bourbon Lounge

During the day, they are a coffee house that focuses on espresso-based drinks while proudly serving an array of breakfast sandwiches, pastries,muffins, cakes, scones and cakes. At night, they transform into a Bourbon bar where people feel “at home”, dishing out an array of salads, pizzas and all types of Bourbons for every taste and price point.

Resolute Brewing Company

Resolute Brewing Company Barrel Room will feature a barrel storage and viewing area, bar, taproom and patio. Per my conversation with one of the founding partners, they are looking forward to being part of the community. And expect to have a formal announcement by next month.

Resolute Brewing Company has an additional location in Centennial. Their current tap lines deliver traditional beer and rotating seasonal creations to the public. They are a communityfocused craft brewery dedicated to quality beers and giving back. We look forward to the grand opening soon.

Smokin’ Oak Pizza

Update 11/4/19 – Smokin’ Oak Wood Fired Pizza currently do not have an agreement to be a tenant in Candelas Point.

Arvada residents Andy and Jamie Gunther are the franchise owners and plan to open a store in Candelas.

Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza, a fast-casual pizza franchise is focused a fun pizza experience and fresh ingredients with a unique wood-fired taste. Their wide range of influences span from Italian to American creations Their goal is to open the first store by summer 2019, and are focused on opening in Arvada’s Candelas area. King Soopers in Candelas

Residents of northwest Arvada will be pleased to learn that a brand new King Soopers Marketplace will be opening at the northwest corner of Candelas Parkway and Indiana Street. The 123,000 square foot grocery store, slated to open in March of 2018, will also house a nine-unit multiple product dispenser (MPD) fuel center.

The development is viewed as a much needed asset to the community as the area is currently significantly underserved by retail, grocery, fuel and restaurant amenities.

First Bank

First Bank is proposing to develop a branch bank on the northwest corner lot of the King Soopers shopping center.

The bank will be approximately 4,400 square feet with drive-thru lanes for ATM, night deposit and teller transactions. Design of the building, signs, materials, and colors will be developed to harmonize with the shopping center standards.

Car Wash

The goal with the Candelas site is to create a flagship car wash model that sets a benchmark for future developments. The wash would be an express tunnel approximately 135-150’ long, staffed by several team members during operating hours. Their team values fresh architectural aesthetics, complemented with beautiful landscaping as it provides a better customer experience.

Proposed Location: Private drive next to the new King Soopers in the Candelas development – Lot 4. In the area with the proposed Les Schwab site.

Wendy’s

The commercial property will be located on the northern corner lot adjacent to Indiana & Candelas Parkway. The restaurant is a corporate model with no anticipated changes. They are proposing as part of the drive through lane a Wendy’s “Y-lane” which provides two order stations which then merge into one pick up lane. Entry to site is from the south entry to promote the one way traffic flow.
